it's really pretty - Putrajaya, especially in the evenings when the sun sets, one can get a good 360 degree view of the Putrajaya skyline, with different infrastructure patterns sitting against the crimson sky and at night when all the street lights are on

it's a pity why it's still such a quiet place, there was virtually noone there, i imagined how fun it would be having many pedestrians walking & skating about, with families sitting on the grass & couples on the benches like a busy, busy city filled with life

Yum Yum. Tabby this entry is dedicated to you. Muahaha.

Yesterday I won the battle. Kitty vs. Krispy Kreme.
Mr. Walden, who not too long ago, proclaimed that Krispy Kreme is better than sex actually forgot all about the glazed doughnut we had bought earlier from the Shell station.
Sorry Ms Kreme, as yummy as you are, I'm yummier.

Flyin Dorothy

I experienced my first tornado warning yesterday. It was shit scary!

After a day of ‘frolicking’ at the St Louis Mills (a huge gigantic mall which has nothing much in it), I met Peter at Westport Plaza for dinner.

I got the shuttle to pick me up from the mall. On my way to Westport Plaza, Larry the shuttle driver said to me, “It has been a hot day but look at the clouds over there. It looks like its gonna rain…” He pointed at the sky.

“Yea…according to the weather forecast there’ll be some rain over the weekend,” I said, still gazing at the sky. I’m quite amazed at how sunny it is on one side of the highway and cloudy, if not stormy on the other.

The rest of the journey Larry told me about his new girlfriend of 5 weeks and how he finds big city dwellers less friendly compared to people in smaller towns. I agreed and traded some stories on my experiences with New Yorkers and KLites as oppose to residents of St Louis haha.

I tipped him a dollar and hurried to meet Peter in Starbucks.

We decided to go to Marciano’s for dinner and I fussed with my newly-bought camera while Peter ordered. We sat outside and did the usual I-update-you-on-my-day and vice versa.

After ten minutes, I noticed the unusual strong wind. I held on to my bag and my camera and at the same times murmured to Peter that “things are gonna start flying around”. Of course I said it half-heartedly and didn’t expect flying chairs and glasses at all, especially when Peter said, “You’re probably not used to it but it’ll be over in a minute.”

Next thing I know he grabbed his beer and my wine glass and was headed for the door saying, “Omigod sweetie, go into the restaurant!” What kind of a spouse is he!!! In a crisis like that he thought about his beer first wey!

The electricity was disconnected. Some people stopped eating and started talking about the situation. Some made phone calls. We were quite shaken but too hungry to care haha. After the meal, I stepped outside to have a smoke as the wind seemed to have died down. It was then I noticed the sirens and Peter came out saying, “I’m gonna get the manager and ask her what’s happening.”

The moment he went in I heard one of the waitress said, “The siren is on, I’m scared. There’s gonna be a tornado.”

Seconds later he came out to get me. “Stop smoking and get in here sweetie. I’m telling you, get in here right now!”

He got so nervous that we ended up giving 60 dollars to our waitress without waiting for the check to arrive. He told her that we’ll come and get the change from her tomorrow. We were told that the parking garage in the basement is the safest place to be, should a tornado hits us.

So we went and camp in the basement for half an hour with a bunch of other people who seemed fairly relax about the whole thing. A lady told us that “nothing severe has happened in this area” and even joked about “flying Dorothy”.

Andrew told me he heard on the news that the wind was going at 80mph and some roof at the St Louis-Lambert International airport was blown off.

Climbing Rocks

i went climbin at the Kepong climbing gym last night. woohoo! i tried & tried so many times. everytime i fall, i quickly got back up & tried harder. when i climbed better than the previous time, it felt Really Good. woohoo. right now, both my arms feel like they're gonna drop off anytime. making my fingers into a fist seem a lot harder now. but it feels good anyhoo.

yes.. yes.. i told jess about this and she's like screaming out loud ," NOW ONLY U FIND INTEREST IN CLIMBING?!? HAH?!? NOW?!? NOW THAT I LEFT MALAYSIA ALREADY ONLY U DECIDE TO GO CLIMB??! THOSE DAYS WHEN I CLIMB IN 1U, ASKING U TO JOIN, SO MANY TIMES, U WEREN'T EVEN INTERESTED! NOT EVEN A BIT!! GGRR"

oh well. sorries man.the whole Krabi has left such an impact on me. i see people climb cliffs and fall into the ocean. (hehe. not really lah.) well, we watched videos of climbers, got to know some real climbers, i thought, "hey, this seem cool. i shall try man." that's all. hee!

We have an appointment to see our landlord (yeah, we most prolly end up getting the apartment) this coming Monday.

Its located on E16th St between Union and Stuyvesant Sq. - not as downtown as I'd like it to be but its a good enough location for both of us. The entrance is so so cute. And there is an adorable church building right opposite.

Even before I take up the TESOL course, I'm already starting to plan where I'm going to apply to. Hee. Yes, I know it's sorta like premature planning, but hey! it's a good thing to plan ahead right??

Let's see...

1st choice is Korea cos' it pays the most
2nd is Spain, but it's hard cos at most time they state EU passport holders prefered
3rd choice... is umm...any-god-damn-where that will pay above RM5000...

Yeah, I know I'm speaking as though I'm damn pro...haha
but a sucessful person once taught me that if you act as if...you will then become...

so....yes....i shall act as if....
after all, it was the wise thoughts of Antony Robbins
:)

FYI...Kitty says that she will post an entry before she leaves St.Louis.. so now by announcing to the mass...it should apply pressure and have her really doing it. *ahem* *hint hint*

and to all....have a splendid weekend

....................updater right after noticing Kitty's post just few seconds before mine

just in case I wasn't crystal clear in my letter, you being there in NYC, describing as much as your brain can possibly allow you to, it is a fkin motivation for me to get there sooner than imagined. You have no freaking idea how much more badly I want to be there, now that you are finally there.

Eeeeyer... in other words, you have become my motivation. eeeyer...what the materazzi man?!?!?! I didn't ever think that you'd be some sort of a motivation/inspiration for me. hahahaha. no offence yeah. :p

i wish i could see what those feline eyes are seeing
whether it's the yellow cabs zooming past
hordes n hordes of people sprinting with iPod
looking at muffins n coffee served at cute li'l cafes
young families with strollers at central park
sittin at the pier with lady liberty in a distance
or the flickering manhattan lights at night

all of which the above are mentioned by kitty
i can so very see them in my mind
by just reading your text

alrighty now

An old friend of mine just got back from Spain for holidays. She's been there for the past eight years. It was nice to meet up and do some big time catching up. You know the sayings that goes "you learn something new everyday, that saying was super reinforced when I met up with her again.

So, apparently getting a PR in Spain and Italy...is pretty simple.
Wooo...
All you gotta do is stay and work there for three years, but of course with visa sponsor from your employer. Nevertheless, it's not as difficult as I thought it would be.
Interesting eh?

I'm not implying anything, am just pretty much sharing facts with the rest of you(s).
Anyway, it's good to know that there are other options. Hee...

So, Kitty, are we going to Spain, Argentina or Brazil to pick up Spanish?
hehe

Have fun Kitty.

p/s i hope you thought up of an excuse already for you-know-what

By the way, I've been thinking and imagining so much about this year end. You have no idea guys! I've started thinking what sorts of camera should I bring, what cameras should I buy to bring. I even envision the final results of the photos/moving images of what I may record over there. Obsession wei!! So unhealthy!!!

It's all Kitty's fault!!!

can't wait to hear more stories. more stories. more storiees. more stories.

FAI 7 TIT

hanging quite a bit with Poosy Tiu these days
all i hear are pretty much the same things
one of it is that she damn wanna photograph in NYC
and now that Kitty Tiu is there
she's hoping that Kitty would snap on behalf of her
BUT Kitty hasn't gotten a camera
so there goes her ever repeated phrase -
"Oi Kitty, faster get a camera!!"

Dear Kitty

In case you were wondering if this has anything to do with Kitty, the answer is no,
It's Deutschland!! They lost to Italia...
*sniffs*

Kitty it's only you that can cheer me up, quickly supply me/us with your stories. Photos would be great too, although I have a strong feeling that you haven't gotten a camera yet. Heh. Quick ok??

When will you be setting up your love nest by the way?
o.O

I'm Quitting

*toot toot toot*
Special Report :
I'm going to get the nicotine patch once I get my next cheque

You know why....

Bad Kitty

I actually dreamt of you last night, we were at the airport again. Just before you left, you gave us all another hug. What the hell man?!??! I'm supposed to be dreaming of boys and Dave Grohl, not you.

Here are some additional photos...of what I'd imagine it to be...of you over there

Officially missing and evying you...
Love you long time...
Pussy Tiu

I'm sitting on a bench in Central Park,
eating Cranberry Muffin and coffee.
Since an hour ago, I've seen dogs of all breed,
cute babies in strollers, topless hunks in shorts
who greeted "Good Morning Sunshine" to me.
Dozen of homeless people,
bunch of foreign languages being spoken
and as of now two dogs humping each other.

Love, Kitty Tiu
