Hiking at Kanniama Hill

heya feliners, i guess i'll be the only one bombarding this page for a while.. hehe.. coz poosy's internet connection at home went kaput.. and kitty, u are kinda still drafting your 'karangan', right? and tabby is... *shaking head disappointedly* haha. anyways, here are more updates on my life.

i went hiking with mom & dad at this hill - Kanniama Hill. most of us call it the 'Keling Hill', actually. it's situated 10 minutes drive away from my home in rahang garden.

papa hiking in front of me - the hike isn't that hard (as to compared with the ulu bendol path i hiked few weeks back) - because this one's beautifully gravelled. but there were also a few parts that were really, really steep. a lot of sweat exude out - good work out.

there's this Arulmighu Maha Sapthakannika Devi Temple situated almost at the top. it's built for Hindu devotees. there are 2 men working there, sweeping floors, preparing food stuff, arranging flowers & incense.. according to one of them, there'd be 6 buses of tourists coming from penang this same morning therefore they had to prepare stuffs.. wow.. SIX buses.. that's like hundred over people hiking up.. ooiyoh..

mom said this is a wishing tree. don't know how it works.

this look like one of those Apsara dancers in Cambodia..! anyway, mom also mentioned that this temple houses the 7 Virgin Goddesses - Sri Bama Devi, Sri Rauthri Devi, Sri Jyeshta Devi, Sri Kali Devi, Sri Kalaviharani Devi, Sri Velavigarani Devi and Sri Velabithamanni Devi. HAHA. i managed to google the names. anyways, did i also mention that i was once told that both my sister & i were some sort of Goddesses from our past lifes?? haha. yeah wey, there's this Card Reader who read my Cards, about, a decade ago... =P woohoo!!

white flowers!

there are a few 'beings' that are believed to control some part of the universe or life and are worshipped. there were the Kuan Yim, the Virgin Goddesses and as shown above, a Cobra. (my first time seeing this)

all the hikers whom we met along the way are all so unexpectedly friendly..! all of them greeted us "good morning" and also "how are u?". the indians would go "vanukkam" accompanied with bobbing heads.. this is so rare, because most of the time i find it hard having small talks with strangers..normally i'd be replied with unfriendly stares..

anyway, there's this man who was 'hula-hooping' with this HUGE garland of wooden balls..! amazing.. dad asked him to pause the hula then start again, he did it effortlessly.. wah.. damn geng.. i can't even hula with those normal plastic hula hoops.. damn painful coz it keeps dropping and knocking my ankles..

managed to climb all the way to the top - it took only about 40 minutes up - this includes a few stops coz my mom needed to rest. and also, what's an outting without the Teapot Pose? heehee

my all time favourite - cuttlefish noodles. can't find it in KL; only in Seremban. hehe.

was having the noodles at the seremban market. the place is filled with many senior citizens, yo.. that's abourit - my weekend in hometown. how did your weekends go?
