We went jalan-jalan around EV (East Village) yesterday and Garf took a bunch of photos of graffitis in the area. So here's to you Puss.

The attack of the bad pussies. That's us! Muahaha.

Garf ber-romance with John Mayer.

This is actually an ad for a neighbourhood automobile mechanic.

Well said. You've got to kidding me if you think respect is default.

Multiracial face of EV & LES (Lower East Side). Both are neighbourhoods in the southeastern part of New York City. They have traditionally been immigrant, working class neighborhood, but have undergone gentrification in recent years and are increasingly populated by young professionals and students which explains the uber cool restaurants, pubs and lounges.

I took them to lunch at Pepe Rosso, one my the many cutesy restaurants in the EV neighbourhood. Pepe Rosso is well-known for their cheap and no fuss food - their slogan is "No Diet Coke, No Decaf, No Skim Milk. Only Good Food." Why? Manhattanites are usually kinda neurotic even when it comes to food and ask for these things.

We want pasta!

The Interior Designer in Garf pointed out that the lamp shade is actually a paper bag.

After lunch we went frolicking in this cute park a few blocks away. This is where I usually come to ogle cute daddies babysitting their toddler in the park's sandbox. Hehehe. What can I say? I just like to see fathers spending time with their kids!

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways..

Bee 'heart' Andrew?

The park, with its cute heart-shaped love chair, toy-filled sandbox and creatively decorated fence using recyclable materials won the 'Dress up your Neighbourhood' award.

Uhh... I guess the van didn't escape the graffiti either.

Tompkins Sq Park is kind of like a dog's park because it has 2 or 3 off-leash dog run area and is the venue for the annual Dogs' Halloween Parade which I will be going for of course!

Synagogue along 14th St in the EV.

Garf banana-ing.

We then strolled to Union Square, an important and historic intersection in NYC. The square has historically been the start or the end point for many political demonstrations. It is, and was in the past, a frequent gathering point for radicals of all stripes, whom one will often find speaking or demonstrating. In fact, I'm dragging Garf to the Burma gathering that will be held here tomoro after our Sex & the City tour. Look out for the gathering photos! Meanwhile, on Sundays most people flock to Union Square for the farmers' market to buy local produce such as vegetable, cheese, fruits etc. Artists gather here to sell their work.

Somehow Garf keeps taking photographs of Jews!

This photographer, Steven Speliotis approached us to take our photographs for an Asian magazine. The moment he came up to us I could recognize him from approaching me on the street last year when I first got here. He was then working on a project on tattoos on Asian women and wanted me to be involved. Puss, do you remember me forwarding you girls an email invitation to go to this opening of some bondage art showcase? Now he is working on a short film on 'Spin the Bottle' starring a few Asian females and invited us to be in it. I said I'll try to convince Garf to go on Sunday to kiss other Asian females. Muahahaha.

Steven the photographer who is obviously fascinated with Asian Women and made them his theme for most of his work. Check him out at www.speliotis.com

Garf said there is always some filming or shooting in NYC.

Our Mexican dinner at Mole.

Later everyone! We gotta go catch free jazz at the Museum of Natural History. Ciao!

xoxo,
Kit
