hey i can finally post more than 5 pictures.. here's a continuation of the Met museum from previous post.. =)

jess looking at an Asian apparel.. looking for symbols that were woven on it.. symbols like 2 wine glasses, dragons, flowers etc.. and i don't know what.. she said it was like playing a game.. haha.. u enjoyed eh, kitty? next time i know what to get for u.. a giant "where's waldo" book.. hurhur..
Astor Court
Japanese section. notice the ultra low furniture? table height close to knee-level

Egyptian Section

the temple of Dendur

yes, there were a few painters painting in the museum.. very impressive.. they can really copy well.. =P

Samson and Delilah - the Philistine Delilah cuts the hair of the Old Testament judge Samson thereby sapping him of his strength. the ass's jaw bone, which Samson used to slay a thousand Philistines, uselessly lies nearby. in the courtly setting of Cranach's time, this subject had an arregorical meaning, warning men of the pitfalls of love, or women of the deception of men.

this artifact is named "Fantastic Animal".. i find it funny, really.

Cupid and Psyche

Perseus with the head of Medusa

this cupid has wings on his ankles..

we were at the Greek & Roman Art section. kitty reading the prints that describes the statue in front of her.. heehee..
(hey, can u spot Chimpz in this picture?) =P
statues - meticulously carved.. but unfortunately not all can be preserved like how it was.. i felt painful looking at the lady's face.. =(
cute, right?

a section of the museum called "One of a Kind"

a very big MEOW
"put your hands up in the air"
kitty's bum looks bigger than usual
the meticulousness of this mosaic pattern on the floor impressed kitty the first time she got here.. those mosaic pieces are so tiny, u know?
kitty and her favourite philosopher (kitty to fill in philosopher's name here)

this is where we had brunch 1 day.. it's called Bread.. i like the interiors loh.. like, totally.. it has a simple, cosy feeling to it..
