some of my friends & i went to pay the folks a visit.. thought i'd share the pictures.. the old folks looked like they have absolutely nothing to do.. they all had a bed and a wardrobe each.. and when we arrived, they were just sitting around on their own beds, minding their own business.. actually, they were more like Not doing anything but Just sitting..
2 children suffer from cerebral palsy.. all they do is lie down all day long.. food in the form of liquid is being transfered into their body through tubes..
there was another girl who had an epileptic fit.. she was moving in an uncontrolled way on the floor.. she accidentally bit her own tongue, resulted in bleeding.. what more, she puked out some white substance too.. =(
there was 1 kid who becomes really hyperactive and aggressive when he has taken too much sweet stuff.. he ran away from the home that day and some caretakers had to run after him.. they were running around a car parked about 10 metres away..
1 indian lady is mentally ill.. she was actually quite funny.. she laughs & talks a lot.. at most times she was standing apart from the wall by 5 cm facing it.. and then she walks towards us and said "the drink is black in colour. it isn't coffee. the drink is black in colour. it isn't coffee." and honestly, i thought it was funny i burst into laughter..
anyway, this is about all.. sometimes i wish there are a few of me's so i can send 1 over there to help out & other me's to do all that i wish to do before i meet up with my late sister.. ggrrr.. so much to do, so little time? well anyway, as poosy strongly suggests, i should really cut down on my napping time.. i sleep too much i may miss out on valuable time that can be put to good use.. this shall be my new year resolution.. it's weird though, coz i have been deprived of sleep lately.. as if this resolution worked itself into my life.. hah!

with this group reappearing in my life
i will once again be entertained like before..
feeling the occasional twinge all over
being mesmerized by part of the performance
having a chance to share some of the contestants' sentiments
and oh, with the new judge
i can finally identify with someone from the panel now
kara seems like she can balance out the judges' topsy-turvy critiques
and somehow would say the right things
in line with simon's ideas but not as inherently rude..
kara rocks
*doing the air guitar thing*
once again i attended a gig by aristo's sisters.. this isn't like the gig from last week's though.. it was held at Bangkok Jazz.. they call themselves Von Torappu Trio.. made from a 3 piece.. they played 20 songs throughout the night (and an additional 2 songs after the crowd screamed for an encore).. they did a few covers in japanese.. one of which is by Bird (a japanese solo artist), and others like jamiroquai, moloko, portishead, cranberries, yeah yeah yeahs.. and others whom i can't remember.. ;p
and as a tradition, i approached the girls to have a picture taken together.. i put on a smile, like usual, hoping that there was nothing in my demeanour that suggested i was a crazy fanatic..
of course aristo had to be squeezed in within the camera frame too! after all, she grew up playing Rumah, Masak-masak & Tahi with the girls beside her..
wahey! the world just gets smaller.. bumped into an old friend, michelle, who happens to know aristo's sister..

oh, i'm just so thrilled.. here's a video clip of a japanese song they performed.. there are a few others recorded.. i would bombard those in a later post because it takes very, very, very, very, very, very, very long to upload..
during the second set, the band grew into a 4 piece.. throughout the performance, the crowd cheered & clapped in awe.. after the last song was performed, the crowd seemed disappointed at the fact that the musical night has come to an end.. some one from the crowd screamed "encore! play me a love song coz i think i'm in love with u..!" err.. haha.. and the crowd burst into laughter.. it was nice of the band to perform 2 bonus songs, 1 of them being Fallin' by Alicia Keys.. once again, as expected, vyonne was able to pull it off.. *clap clap clap*
Ju and I with the Black Cat crew attended our first ever tattoo convention over the previous weekend. It was indeed an eye opener for many of us. Singapore is hardcore with body modification I must say. I didn't snap many photos, but it should be pretty okay for you to feast your eyes. Enjoy :)

from Black Cat.
