HELLO HELLO! tabby & garf visited kitty in Hanoi once again! this time we had more fun-filled activities in comparison with our previous trip! to the feline i miss the most, poosy, here's a post just for u, to journey together as i recall.. aristo has already heard most of it.. anyway, here goes!!
kitty was at work when we touched down at the Noi Bai airport. all we had to do was to look for a guy holding a paper with our names on it. we then hopped into his car and headed to kitty's workplace. it took about 40 minutes or so. on the way there, most of the things that we saw was paddy fields and paddy fields. we met up with kitty at her workplace and that's when she gave us a set of keys to her place. check out the Art of Mess we created there.

the redness of the space reminds me of none other but Ms Redd
tabby & i walked around in the city looking for Pho.
we were soaked in rain while we were at it

- electrician, plumber or others
we became millionaires in no time! for each USD 1, we get 18,000 Vietnam Dong
kitty got off work and we went out for dinner at Highway 4noodles with chicken & vege
spring rolls
we decided to go on 2 mini trips. for the first one, we decided to tag along with kitty for work to Lan Ha.. off we went! we hopped on a bus for a 3.5 hours ride to the pier to take a small boat to get to a bigger boat.

the 3 days/ 2 nights trip includes kayakking. my arms surrendered after 2 minutes, but we managed to kayak through a cave, and just enjoy the whole scenery. it was then that i thought,
"visiting kitty means this holiday involves a little work out". and with this, i'm all prepared
(in the mind only)

dinner time! the boat was parked somewhere in Ha Long bay & we were all to sleep over in the boat for a night.
that's kitty and the boatmen
we didn't have a room to ourselves. and the top deck of the boat was pretty much our room. that's where we slept - on the decks. i fell asleep after exchanging stories and looking into the dark skies with ocassional twinkling of the stars.
the view i had the moment i woke up on the following morning
enjoying the sun - moving on to a private beach - Lan Ha
chilling at the beach, meeting new people, chatting, played a bit of volley ball, listened to some tunes on the guitar, waiting for lunch..

and a video of it

tabby tried wakeboarding, i tried water skiing, which we failed miserably. i just couldn't get it right! it's a very, very difficult sport. but never mind that, i'm gonna give it another try in future anyway! despite the fact that i swallowed what felt like 2 litres of sea water. bleurgh. thinking of it makes me dizzy.

we went tubing. bleurgh as well. tabby seems to be enjoying the whole ride - she just kept laughing
"weeheeheehee wahahaha". i, on the other hand was screaming on the top of my lungs "STOPPPPP! STOP RIGHT NOWWWWW! I'M SERIOUS!! LIKE, NOWWWWWWWW" but to no avail. the speed boat went on & on, swerving left & right, speeding up even more. bleurgh.

was tired as hell after 1 whole day of frolicking. it was time to set up our mosquito nets and go to bed.
by the beach. it was one of the most amazing experiences, dozing off as i hear the sounds of the gushing waves, the creaks from bugs & crickets & being kissed by the night breeze. hmmm. =) and oh, we saw some fireflies buzzing past too. the best "bedroom" ever.

now, what next? as i looked up towards the girls climbing up the rocks, WITH NO HARNESS! what?? after my first step, i've already gotten a scratch on my left knee, and i said i'm not gonna go any further. but kitty insisted on checking out the tree house that she helped build. "ok ok fine, fine," i thought.

here we are, after some rock climbing action, we managed to get on the tree house! a sturdy handsome tree house!

the climb scared the
toot out of me, really. but, i realized one thing. everytime i see something that scares me, i refuse to do it. but i'd ask myself to try it anyway, it is going to be hard, yes, but just do it. and while doing it, i'd be cursing all sorts, and once it's done, i'd feel a myriad of sensation - relieved, excited, proud, interesting, happy.

a happy picture of the 5 of us, kitty, tabby, garfette, lumlum, and my little pimplenothing beats having a holiday with ur good mates once in a while
u'd know what will happen when we gather, like old times
u'd be filled with surprises - good or bad
u'd get to know yourself more
it's character building
it's inspiring

yeah. great lighting indeed! =)
yeah. i'm starting to use sunblock instead of suntan oil now. got me worried ever since my MANY MOLES incident after an afternoon swim. just weeks ago.
anyway, i don't think kitty will be reading this anytime soon because she'd be out on Catba for a week.
