This is for the rest of you who miss the cookout...hehe...is this YUMs or what???...its okay some other time. Thank you chef kerlz and chef garf!!!

Hey girls...i came across this excerpt and wanna share it with you girls...erm enjoy???hehehe

I believe...that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other.
And just because they don't argue,
it doesn't mean they do love each other.

I believe...
that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I believe...
that no matter how good a friend is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I believe...
that true friendship continues to grow, even over
the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I believe...
that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I believe...
that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I believe...
that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I believe...
that you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I believe...
that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I believe...
that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I believe...
that heroes are the people who do what has to be done
, when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I believe...
that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I believe...
that my best friend and I, can do anything, or nothing and have the best time.

I believe...
that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I believe...
that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I believe...
that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I believe...
that it isn't always enough, to be forgiven by others. Sometimes, you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I believe...
that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I believe...
that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but, we are responsible for who we become.

I believe...
that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I believe...
two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I believe...
that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I believe...
that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you - you will find the strength to help.

I believe...
that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I believe...
that the people you care about most in life are taken from you too soon.

I believe...the happiest of people don't necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything.

I think its quite true what has been written...it just a reminder of everyday stuff

What Children Say

this is my very own experience. it happened a few months ago and i think it's gonna be in my memory for a long time.

student : teacher, having you as my teacher is like a dream.. ;)

teacher (flicking hair behind the ear, looking proud, with a matter of factly face)
: oh, really? mind sharing why?

student : well, i'm getting really sleepy, that's why (it feels like a dream)

ARGH.

hahaha. that was quite funny, i think. for a moment i thought i existed and that became someone's dream!

... ah well.

Hap-Bee Bee Day

To the girl who has the amazing ability to laugh and cry at the same time, your friendship is a gem in the rough.

To the girl who pulls off the best Garfield expression ever, you are truly loved.

To the girl who sketches pretty doodles, your presence is always enjoyed.

Have a Hapbee Beeday!!

i love this picture. i hope u do too.

To the person with whom I can joke freely, be serious comfortably, be open easily, Poos, have a very happy birthday.

The proper Reunion

So, Kitty is now in KK and will be leaving for Hong Kong sometime in the next week. Looks like we'll be seeing her when we see her. :)

We all met up at our usual favourite spot, Nirwana. Even our pet monkey Andrew was present. haha

I'm thinking it will be another maybe two years before we take yet another groupie photo. We'll see. Maybe by then we'll be taking it in Hanoi? *shrugs*

Have a good week ahead!

Mini-Reunion

Seems like a long time ago when we first started this blog. Just in case any of you have forgotten, we started this blog mainly cos our dear friend Kitty was headed to NYC. The blog is now about three and a half years old and has seen many of us going to different places and phases.

Lately, our blog has slowed down a whole lot compared to the first couple of years of its existence. I guess we've all become too busy and caught up in our lives. Nevertheless, I'd like to TRY to start contributing more again :)

Here's a nice, Christmas-sy photo of Kitty, Garf and myself. Oh yes, Kitty is back from Hanoi... just for a week or two.

Here's hoping to more travels for all of us! Since it seems like this blog is more travel fueled. :)

Tanglung Fest

there was a tanglung fest
a friend invited us over for a get together
and we decided to BUILD OUR OWN (tanglungs)!

our artful mess

another 1 of our artful mess

the bee tanglung : initial stage

the bee tanglung : later stage

the fenari tanglung : initial stage

the bee tanglung flies! wee!

the bee tanglung : final product. with the candle in!

we tested our tanglungs. here's the final product of the fenari tanglung.

to our dismay, the fenari got burnt when we wanted to remove the candle

the short-lived fenari brought a new life to a bigger one, which accommodates more space for the candle. (good thing we had a test run)

i got the fish tanglung as a reference and look what Ms Infinity turned it into? she composed a great work of "Fish Jumping Out From The Pond" tanglung

and later, into "Fish With Bursting Tail Jumping Out From The Pond Complete With Life Chain" (take note of the chain thing underneath)

that's Aristo & myself with the rest of the tanglungs on display
Yay to artwork!

This Is It Outing

went to watch the movie This Is It together with a few MJ fans.
i thought it was a good movie, with the rehearsals, seeing his dance moves for the umpteenth time but yet it still managed to enthrall me for a good 2 hours or so.
a few funny bits here n there, i'm sure u girls would enjoy too, especially Aristo.
by the way, check both your sisters out in the photos.
i think they totally rock.
from L to R : (oh no, i forgot her nickname. help me out here aristo), tabel, unbewebobo, infinity, 9 oong, cookie.

inside a GSC cinema hall.
i think u have lovely sisters, Aristo.

Just For Laughs

This is based on a true story.

Indian Passenger : Excuse me miss. Can you help me?

Flight Attendant (Maria): Yes sir? What can I do for you?

Indian Pax : This audio here is not working. I cannot listen to music.

Maria : Okay. I will reset your entertainment system. Please put the
control unit back. Leave it for about 10 to 15 minutes, and try again.
If it's still not working after that, do let me know.

Indian Pax : Okay miss.

After 15 minutes.....

Maria : Is it working already?

Indian Pax : No miss. I think this seat is broken.

Maria : Really? Let me take a look....
It's working sir. What is it that you want to watch? Perhaps I can show
you how to use the inflight entertainment. Or you can browse through
our entertainment guide book.

Indian Pax : No miss! You don't understand. This seat is broken!!

Maria : uhm... well.. okay. It's not a full flight today so we have a lot of empty
seats. Would you like to change your seat sir?

Indian Pax : Okay. I'll walk around and find another seat.

After 1 hour...

Indian Pax : Excuse me miss. This seat is also broken!

Maria : I'm sorry sir. Are you sure? What seems to be the problem?

Indian Pax : This audio is not working! Some channels have music. Others don't
have!!

Maria : Are you sure sir? Maybe I can help you. What kind of music were you
looking for? I'd suggest you use the Interactive Mode instead of the
Audio Mode. It's more user friendly and very straight forward.

Indian Pax : NO NO! You don't understand! This seat is broken! I want to listen to
audio.

Maria : Well sir, have you tried other seats? I really strongly suggest you try
the Interactive Mode, sir. It's really simple.

Indian Pax : NO NO! I've already changed my seats few times. ALL IS BROKEN!

Maria : Are you sure? But sir, that's ridiculous. Everybody else doesn't have any
problem with their entertainment system. How is it possible that you're
the only one with this problem??

Indian Pax : Because I'm Indian!

What do you think? I rest my case..

The Cake

we celebrated Mou Mou's bday and i helped Kerinting with The Cake

Kerinting with the electric whisk (well, with the remaining whisk thing, if u can remember)

waiting for time to pass before the birthday party, and i found a pretty venetian-ish mask!
hee hee!

Visit

Aristo stopped over for a couple of days when she flew to this side of the world. It was nice to see a familiar face after these few months. :) We spent most of the time just eating with my colleagues and went out for drinks after. Oh, we did catch a couple of hours worth of stand-up comedy. There were some fart jokes, killer cat jokes and some lame jokes. Heh.

Anyway, will be seeing you girls back home soon!! Yippie!

the VIRGIN trip

Hello girls it's been awhile since any of us posted anything. Just to share what I have done over the long weekend, its my first trip ever to Cameron Highlands hopefully more to come. Its a very peaceful and idyllic town I would say...fresh air and sunshine unfortunately it rained most of the time I was there.

I went with a bunch of my ex-colleagues who are really nice people. We had steamboat for the very first day we were there, brought the ingredients from KL hehe...so semangat. Well here are some of the shots taken from my trip.

Steamboat dinner in our rented apartment, we look like bummers who hasn't eaten in a while and fighting over food.

This was taken without my knowledge...while waiting for our lunch at this restaurant called Nyonya Ferm. I think the name is weird cuz it is supposed to be Fern or Firm anyhow the food there was alright, WE cook even better hehehe...

Tea & scones anyone? (L-R: Me, Sherly, Chen Chen & Mii Shuen)

This is Ye Olde SMOKEHOUSE, where we had tea and scones...loved this place it is very cosy, we practically spent a few hours there...as it was drizzling. We were just enjoying each others company and camwhoring through out. But i wished we enjoyed the weather outside and played in the rain...like how most of us did when we were younger...to feel the cool air, freedom and carefree spirit...and catch cold the day after.

One of the random shots

Me & CY, one of the appointed photographer for this trip hehehe

Having fun and making ourselves look silly...and ever ready to pose

This is Wang the other appointed photographer...check his pose out!!!

This is one of my favourite shot...and we took plenty of it, real camwhores!
