it has been quite an eventful 1st half of the year.. so far, i've received 9 wedding invitations throughout the year.. attended a funeral.. a beautiful baby is born to the two friends whom i became a cupid for.. recently watched the documentary "11th hour".. narrated by leonardo dicaprio.. understanding more about the issues raised.. the fact that global warming is Very happening and a dude in there said there are 2 ways of looking at it.. 1. we could be complaining about having a lot to do just to make sure the earth is ok.. or 2. we are the ones, the lucky ones, who are still alive as all these natural disasters happen, because we, could be the ones to make the change.. and he's glad that he's looking at it positively.. i will, too.. i don't suppose i can do much to Save The World.. all i've been doing is saying "no plastic bags, thank you" at cash register counters.. and separating my rubbish.. not big of an impact, but i really do not know what else to do.. well, like poosy suggested, maybe i can start bringing my own pair of chopsticks so when i eat out at stalls; there's no need to use those bamboo chopsticks provided.. what else can i do? any suggestions? (i can hear poosy saying "car pool is cool" right now).. i feel a pain thrust on my whole being upon learning about the cyclone in myanmar and earthquake in sichuan.. maybe i should begin to chant.. or practise any other form of spiritual prayers.. *eyes closed.. in deep thought & silence..* =/
other news would be having kitty in & out of the country in every 1-2 months.. finding out that a few people got their money conned.. a total of above RM400k !! and actually knowing who the culprit is.. (would love to slap him if i see him, for always boasting last time.. hmph! may he has lots of pimples grow on his bum..!).. (..for ever..!!) out with old housemates, in with new housemates.. having joined a weekly badminton thingy.. finished the tesol assignments Finally.. learning a lot of life's quirkiness in the quirkiest ways..
garf, garoupa & aristo*clink wine glass* here's to a dear friend, garoupa, congratulations.. *clink wine glass again* here's to our good times spent together - all the late night majong sessions, being annoying pests together at friday's, and just plain hanging out with the gang.. *clink clink* as nicole extended her wedding invitation few months back, i wondered, how we would know if a certain someone "had us at hello" or "he/she's the one".. so i asked her,"why him? how do u know?"..
.. she replied,"because i can live with him"..
now, to u people who have met your other half, or imaginary other half, tell me, "why him/her? and how do u know?"
we were there to support this one local band called John's Mistress. the above dude is the front man of the band. finally the band is back into the scene after so long. i was there standing in the front crowd. i heard some of them sing to the band's lyrcis, yo.
