Ta-dah

For the Kitty fans, sorry that you won't be hearing/reading much on her as she has mentioned previously. However, rest assured that she is alive and well and I will share with you a photo of her as proof (if you even had doubts, that is). I hope you don't mind Kit, anyways its only ONE photo okay. :P

Camp '08

went camping few weekends back.. 2 nights trip.. together with arness + friends.. at tanjung malim, perak... took only about 1 hour ride from subang.. reached there on a friday late night.. quite scary.. dark surroundings.. not much hiking needed.. needed to only cross a river which was very near to where our cars were parked.. but i found it very challenging coz it was a strong stream, rocky, and dark.. all i had was a pocket-size torch light.. and we had to carry all our stuffs in.. like factory workers, we passed the item one by one... a scary looking toilet.. in the dark, we had to pitch our tents, 3 altogether.. we had 2 oil lamps lit up, met up with the 'caretaker', andy.. he was briefing us about the do's and don't's within the compound.. there'd be leeches, he said.. and in case anything 'dirty' happens, Holy Water is provided.. not like there was any 'dirty' cases that happened before, but rather, it was just as a 'safety precaution'.. 1 fact that i found rather cute is that.. it is a Gated area.. haha.. well, he'd lock the gate where we went in from so as not to let strangers in.. instantly, during the briefing session, i felt Very Very safe.. usually i'd be a scaredy cat, scared of almost everything and anything.. the same scary toilet in the day - doesnt look that scary anymore! wee..!! this is only for number One.. there's another toilet that's for Number 2.. not too far away.. it's actually pretty clean.. every user has to make sure that the pail of water provided has to be filled after use.. water can be scooped from the nearby river..
this is the place where i do all the cleaning and washing.. and just sitting around, chilling..
doors are placed in an artsy way.. i took notice of it and thought of its use.. for making a low bench? for table? for an artsy photo? i took one of it to make a kitchen table.. you'll soon see below..

our containers and cups being hung on twigs/ branches..
some sort of 'shrooms
apparently this camping site is good for Shooting Fish.. and my fellow camper friends brought 3 spearguns ,snorkel gears and water proof torch lights.. all prepped up to catch fish.. this, above, is arness in action.. found out that the fish are more alert in the day time.. they'd 'zoom' past really quick therefore it's more challenging to catch them in the day than in the night.. so, for both the nights, the fellow 'hunters' went on their mission.. true enough, the fish are a bit blur during night.. probably because there are no street lights in the water..
view from inside my tent.. the thingy on the left is A FAN!!! the fan is held on the tent with a very strong magnet.. nyiahaha.. uh-huh!! and the other is just a torch light clipped on a carabiner..
fellow fishermen using the Jala..

siew gai yik..
shisha..
TA-DAA!! our very own kitchen table!!
notice the orange/ blue canopy? arness made it on his own.. he actually sews and builds things.. he has a Bengkel at home.. the stuffs in his room is built by his own hands!! anyway, back to this canopy thing.. 4 of the poles that make it stand are just usual broom sticks.. each one is too long to carry, thus they're broken into 2; connected by a bicycle pole thingy in between.. the canvas bags that store it is also sewn by arness himself!! he has also made a few little pouches to store other little things..
our bon fire..

my tent! notice the beds on both sides? stand on 4 metal legs, which, i find, very hard to mantle and dismantle.. setting up the tent is easier than setting the bed up coz it has more tension..

all the fish that they caught.. *claps* i didnt try shooting any fish.. just sat around and watch.. the water was cold.. anyway, the fish were all fried for lunch..
the biggest fish caught..
some of us..

all of us.. packed and ready to leave.. it was a good trip.. i learnt a thing or two there.. or more things, actually.. very energy draining, especially because it was raining too.. having to scurry around to make sure that the food stuff was dry and all that.. but of course, it wasn't like i had to do anything much, haha.. it was more of everyone else's effort that make it work.. not bad.. i won't think twice to go on another camping trip, for sure.. despite the fact that i'd bring home some cuts and bruises on my limbs.. and (ewww) even leeches bites.. blehh..

A Reminder

suddenly i imagine being my younger self
that time when i first stepped into college
and the time when i left college
searching for a job, asking for an increment
the whole process of searching for a place to stay
taking public transports to and fro everywhere
the enthusiasm that i had
the places i wanted to see
the people i wanted to meet
the things i wanted to do
now that i have some of these in place - i've been, i've met, i've done..
but something doesn't feel quite right
whatisitwhatisitwhatisit?

forgot who i was - who i used to be
only now i'm trying to remember
bit by bit it's coming back to me
recollections from everywhere float back

seem to have lost enthusiasm in almost everything
seems like Anything would do now
the whole thing seem like a lazy process
no sense of eagerness like before..
blehhhh

i shall remind myself
to once in a while search that energetic interest in everyday things

Series of Events

Someone I knew passed away.
Someone I know is having her first baby today.
Someone I know has changed into someone not as likable as before.
Someone I know is planning to get married.
Someone I know is getting married.

I can't believe I'm experiencing Life and Death, both at the same week.
She passed on of old age, and died peacefully and gracefully.
I don't want to sound bizarre, but sometimes when events like this happen it just blows me away because although someone has left earth, a brand new spankin' baby is coming. Stoke. Is what I feel.

Life is just simply amazing!!

Dear feliners (and readers),

As the title suggest, I'd like to say that I will not be blogging for awhile due to personal circumstances. I'm not disappearing, certainly not leaving the blog (I hope the other feliners don't decide to terminate my so-called feline membership), it is just that I don't foresee myself sharing the going-ons of my life right now. I will however, continue to visit and drop comments.

See everybody again soon.

And oh, Malaysians who are registered to vote - vote Opposition! We all know that we need a stronger one.

Meanwhile, here are some photos of my chinese new year with the kiddies back in sabah.
